The capital of our country - Prague

National Theatre

The National Theater in Prague is one of the most famous theaters in the Czech Republic. The neo-renaissance theater building by Josef Zítek on the corner of Národní třída and Masarykova nábřeží in Nové Město, a national cultural monument, is one of the most important buildings in the country, both in terms of general national culture and history and purely architectural.

Hundred-towered Prague

At the beginning of the 19th century, the mathematician Bernardo Bolzano added 103 towers in Prague, without burgher houses or waterworks. This created the name - Prague Hundred Towers. Today, according to records of the Prague Information Service, there are more than 500 towers in Prague.

The Prague Castle

The Prague Castle is the most important Czech castle, which was originally a medieval fortified settlement standing on a rocky promontory above the Vltava River. Hradiště was located in the center of Prague on the hill Opyš.
From the 9th century it used to be the seat of Czech princes and subsequently of kings.
Since 1918, it has been the seat of the President of the Republic. From a historical point of view, it is perhaps still important to mention that it became the main residence of the Holy Roman Emperor.
